So now that both of you are back in Marin….when are you going to come visit me?

Am I crazy or does my name on that little red hippo thing change from “Katy” to “Kate”?  It was Katy originally but when I looked at it a few days ago it was Kate.  But then yesterday and this morning it was Katy so I thought I just imagined it but right now it’s Kate.  I’m so confused.   Is my computer playing mind games on me?

I’d just like to say that it is 6pm and 94 degrees outside!  That, my friends, is too damn hot!  I need a little time to adjust to the temperature here, though I am loving not having any humidity.  I guess it’s time to break out the skirts and tank tops

I made it back to beautiful San Anselmo in one piece!  My flight arrived at noon yesterday and I spent the rest of the afternoon helping my mom teach her first graders about tidepools (remember those days Jennie?).  I was so exhausted last night that I went to bed at 830pm!  Kind of sad.  But I woke up at 530 this morning to go running and this afternoon my mom and I are heading out to west marin to go hiking for the weekend.  It’s so great to be back!

Unfortunately, I’m having issues renting out my room. I had a really nice girl lined up, but then she got a better offer… a friend of hers is renting his room for only $300 a month. so I have 4 days to line up more peeps for the roommates to choose from…and pack everything up… and see everyone before i leave… and get my car’s oil changed… and…oy! the list is endless *pout*

so… last night I finally crawled into bed around 2am…. and Justin asked me to marry him…

2nd marriage proposal in 10 weeks… that must be some sort of record.

what weirds me out is that today is May 1st and this date last year (2007) was the original wedding date for Justin and his last girlfriend. If she hadn’t cheated on him… today would be their 1 year anniversary. totally insane.

I can’t wait to move to New Zealand and get a fresh start. I’m so sick of American drama. haha not that it looks to be any better in NZ, but at least over seas it becomes more of an adventure.

oh, and I said no.

So as you already know it was Lori’s 21st birthday this last weekend.  I had a lot of fun.  I got to meet her boyfriend, her family.  Saturday night a group of us went out to the bars to celebrate, including her brother and his friend who was pretty cute.  We made out that night, and in the morning, before he left, he gave me his phone number, on a napkin…kinda adorable.  So I’m thinking of giving him a txt message next weekend and see what happens from there.  Sunday we went wine tasting, and practically no one carded her which she found frustrating.  All in all it was a good weekend.

I’m feeling much better, but its still really odd to not have an appetite. usually by now I’d be craving something.

I ended up in the ER last night

I think I have a sinus infection or upper respiratory infection, either way. no fun!

but at least I’ve stopped having fevers, I’m not light headed and I might actually leave my house to eat.

ooh! you would not believe the hotties working in the ER. haha you can tell I’m feeling better if I’m commenting on hot guys. *sigh* although none of them were as hot as that fireman…

ok, back to sleep for me.

I just got a phone call that I won something I entered a drawing at a hockey game (trying to win a car or a big screen tv) and they just called to say I won $100 gift certificate to Olive Garden and a 2 night-3day vacation!!

my choices for the vacation are Victoria, Canada… Seaside/Newport, Oregon… Las Vegas, Nevada… and st George, Utah. I’m leaning towards the Las Vegas trip or Canada. what do you think? I have to decide by Friday 2pm when i pick up my prizes.

Its fun being a winner. :-p
